We just wanted to put some updated information out there about Chubfest 9. It’s about 2 months away, and it will be a busy 2 months. We have what looks to be a record crowd coming to Chubfest this year. Sorry for the price increases but we have had the same price for the last 8 years and need to change with the times, as well as a much larger property. We provide non-alcoholic beverages and snacks. If you wish to have an adult beverage feel free to bring it with you, but be sure to drink responsibly we wouldn’t want to have to ask you to leave. (And we will if you are not a happy drunk) Please no glass bottles or glass on the grounds.
Event passes are purchased at the resort only. You can not purchase them before the event.

Welcome, you are one of the lucky ones to get a room. We know they go fast.
You will be REQUIRED to purchase a weekend pass for the event for each person staying in the room. You will receive an envelope with your room # on it during check in, please put your registration fee ($55 pp/cash) in the envelope and bring it to Jack on Friday or Saturday morning. (The first morning you are at the event) You will receive a silicone wristband, and this will be the proof you paid, as well as your entrance to the cocktail party at Wang’s on Saturday evening. Please wear it at all times while you are at the resort. It will save us from constantly asking you if you paid.
We have always operated on the honor system, and it has proven to work very well with such a friendly crowd. Last year we had a couple people who didn’t pay. When we confronted them we were told “we didn’t eat any of your food or drinks so why should we pay?” We let it go, and hope they don’t return… The long and short of it is; the event costs are more then just food and drinks.
Sorry you didn’t get a room at the host hotel. Next year if you want to come back be sure to call right away when you get the email about the event. Rooms sold out in 7hrs this year. Be sure to get on the waiting list since we always have people book and then cancel.
You have two options for passes this year. We are offering passes for each individual day, as well as a weekend pass that will include the cocktail party. You can’t purchase the cocktail party separately unless we have extra space. We will not know this until all the 3day passes are counted. (Saturday afternoon) Find Jack or Tyler and they will let you know the cost/availability of the cocktail party. Cocktail party entrance can’t be purchased at the door this year.
You will check in with the main counter at CCBC and they will give you a wristband that corresponds to your specific day or 3 day pass you purchased. There are lockers on the grounds for your clothing. We suggest you bring your own lock and leave your valuables at your hotel or safely locked in your car. There is plenty of seating but if you have that special chair that works for you by all means bring it. Also be sure to bring your own towels the resort does not provide them.
